The Rotary Club of Nairobi Karengata (RCNK) is part of Rotary International in District 9212.

It was chartered on 14th June 2012 with the assistance of the DG’s special representative PDG Harry Mugo.  At the time, The Charter President was current Rotarian David Gaiti and the membership stood at 32.

Almost 8 years later, the Club has grown in strength at 32 members still, but with substantial diversity with members drawn from the public and private sectors, business and academia. Over this period, the Club has recorded outstanding successes such as the charter of another Club – RC – Narok Enkare, launch of an Interact Club and completion of projects serving various communities.

RCNK meets every Thursday between 6.45 pm and 7.00 pm to 8.00 p.m. at Bomas of Kenya in Karen. Presently, in line with COVID-19 measures the meetings are held virtually via ZOOM. The meetings are timed to strictly last the required one hour, thereafter transiting into a warm, social, relaxed environment to enable socializing, meeting of new members or visiting guests and a recap of the week with members.
The current President is Rotarian Rita Ndonye for the  2020/2021.

The Club is anchored on the tenets that Rotary International is built on. Service to humanity, above self and the constant endeavor to make the world a better place for all.
