COVID -19 sanitization water tanks project in the Karen/Langata area

This project steered by Rotarian Rachel Mugure in partnership with Stanbic Bank has been on-going since May 2020 up till August 2020

It involved the distribution of water tanks to residents and community organizations in the Karengata area in continued efforts to boost sanitization in the management of COVID-19 within the community.

Some of the beneficiaries were Kibera South Health Centre and St. Vincent De Paul Rescue Nursery School and Rescue Center in Olympic Kibera.

Areas of distribution

At Hardy, Karen: Hardy market and Gataka village

At Karen: Matopeni village and Bomas of Kenya community

Within Langata: 3 markets and 1 village plus food packs to communities in Kibera and the chief’s camp.
